Unlocking the Competitive Advantage of Inclusion
In this course, you will learn how Free to Grow in Forestry got started and all that it has accomplished. You will also learn how to explain to your team what a diverse and inclusive culture looks like, why having a diverse team is important, and how to plan the next steps on how to build an inclusive culture within your team.
OBJECTIVES
Course Objectives & Outcomes
In this introductory course, you will learn what a team culture of inclusion looks like and why it is important. We will then introduce you to our framework for building a diversity advantage in your workplace and start to build out your toolkit for leading the change.
You will also be introduced to three courses that will help you navigate this often confusing topic including skills that will help you:
Become an effective ally;
Confidently operate as an inclusive leader; and
Help you overcome resistance to behaviours that come up in the workplace when implementing actions on equity and inclusion.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Explain why it's important to have a diverse and inclusive team.
Explain to your team what a healthy vibrant culture of equity and inclusion looks like.
Translate why a workplace of equity and inclusion matters for you and your team.
Understand the fundamental components required to establish a culture of equity and inclusion within a team.
Plan next steps on how to build a culture of equity and inclusion with your team.
